A Life Across Many Currents
Some lives do not follow a single straight line.
Mine has moved through ships and shore offices, business decisions and personal trials, writing and reflection, music and spiritual enquiry. Over time, these different currents have begun to meet in one place: the search for clarity, discipline, responsibility, and inner steadiness.
This website is a personal home for those currents.
Maritime Judgement
My professional life has been shaped by more than three decades in the maritime world — first at sea, then ashore, and later across ship management, inspections, drydockings, commercial advisory, vessel valuation, ship sale and purchase, and chartering-related work.
Ships teach responsibility. They also teach timing, discipline, risk, and consequence.
Today, my maritime work is centred on clear thinking before commitment — helping owners, buyers, financiers, and business counterparts pause, examine, and decide with greater confidence.
Books & Writing
Writing allows experience to become useful beyond the moment in which it was lived.
My maritime book, The 7 Costly Mistakes Ship Owners Make, was written to help owners, buyers, and shipping professionals recognise avoidable risks before decisions become expensive.
Beyond maritime writing, I continue to explore themes of discipline, willpower, self-cultivation, karma, memory, and the deeper patterns that shape human action.
Kultiv8 Philosophy
Kultiv8 began as a way of expressing something simple but demanding:

To cultivate oneself is to take responsibility for one’s inner condition — thoughts, habits, attention, choices, and response to life. It is not about noise, pressure, or performance. It is about steady inner preparation.
The Kultiv8 philosophy brings together discipline, willpower, reflection, and the quiet work of becoming more aligned within.
Music & Reflection
Music has been one of the gentler companions of my life.
Through guitar, singing, familiar melodies, and creative expression, I have found another way to connect with people beyond business and words. My creative identity, Patskott, and the idea of Strum Along with Srini both come from this simple joy — helping music become accessible, warm, and human.
Reflection and music often meet in the same place: where the mind becomes quieter and the heart becomes more open.
